The story of VIVÂMEE Hospitality begins with the work of Josh McCallen, who in the early 2010s served as partner and president of ICONA Resorts, an award-winning experiential brand on the Jersey Shore. During those formative years, a spark was lit—a vision of hospitality that was not only beautiful but deeply purposeful.
In 2018, Josh and Melanie acquired the historic Renault Winery, founded in 1864 by Louis Nicholas Renault of Mareuil-sur-Aÿ in the Champagne region of France. Renault had brought with him the artistry of Champagne-making, elevating the American wine experience with authenticity and excellence.
Renault’s story was carried forward not only by Louis, but by generations of passionate stewards—including Marie D’Agostino, whose decades of leadership brought national prominence and enduring cultural influence to the brand. Renault’s ability to survive Prohibition, thrive in the mid-20th century, and remain relevant for more than 160 years became the blueprint for VIVÂMEE Hospitality.
What began as a real estate rebirth became a movement: a collection of resorts united not only by physical beauty but by a calling to revive souls.
VIVÂMEE is built upon what we call Primordial Hospitality—an approach rooted in the timeless elements that have uplifted humanity since the dawn of civilization:
Today, VIVÂMEE welcomes hundreds of thousands of guests each year across its growing collection of resorts. Each stay is an invitation to experience beauty, embrace soulful service, and rediscover the joy of being fully alive.
At VIVÂMEE, hospitality is not just a business. It is a calling. A ministry. A gift. And it all began with the timeless inspiration of Renault Winery.
